Shower in Spokane

Last weekend was really great. I flew into Spokane on Saturday morning for my bridal shower/Jenny's baby shower at my Aunt Gerrie's house. My mom and Jenny picked me up at the airport and we headed up there.

It was such a great time! My aunts, several cousins, and cousin's wives were there and a total of 4 babies! Well 5 if you include Jenny's :) It is baby season for my cousins I guess and I love it! Katherine Elise Finch is the newest arrival, born about 2 weeks ago. Caleb Patrick Weisbeck was before that, Gracie Walsh is about 8 months old now, and Ellie Weisbeck is around 2 I think.

Aunt Gerrie, Aunt Annie, and Aunt Elaine threw the shower for Jenny and I. The food was delicious (brunch), everything was pretty, and the best part was being with our female family!

I was so excited to see Jenny pregnant. She is so cute and her belly was very round. The rest of her wasn't much different (well except a couple things :) And Baby B tended to move around a lot after Jenny eats, so I got to feel him/her too!

After the shower Jenny, mom and I went to visit my Grandma Rose. And after that we met my dad at Ben's house and ate yummy homemade enchiladas (thanks, Mom!) and stayed the night at Ben's. The next morning when Ben went to church with his girlfriend Chrissy, we made a cast of Jenny's belly. Its kind of weird I know, but you can paint it or whatever and hang it up. It was really fun and turned out pretty neat. Sorry, I don't think Jenny would want me to put up pictures of that project :)

How I love the summer

Its been too long since I last posted (I refuse to use the verb "blogged"), and I promise I will keep up better through the summer! I am totally enjoying the hot weather, well not totally but quite a bit. We still don't have AC at work and it gets up to 86 degrees on a hot day. But outside of work, it has been great!

I will need to backtrack a bit. Two weeks before we went up to Alaska for Sarah and Sobo's wedding, I visited my newest second cousin (or my cousin's kid, whatever that would be). His name is Caleb Patrick Weisbeck and he's adorable!

Congratulations Andy and Jerilyn!

Proud grandparents

A week before the AK trip we had Sarah, Sobo, Todd and Jen over for a little BBQ. It was nice to get together before the chaos that is AK was upon us.

Erik made delicious ribs :)

And then came Alaska. Erik headed up a few days before me and spent lots of quality time with the boys. I arrived on Wednesday and managed to squeeze in time with Erik's parents, a bridal shower, visiting Maria, Jeff, Chris and Eric, riding in Erik's dad's VW bus, pizza at the Moose's Tooth, and of course all the wedding festivities.
The rehearsal dinner was a blast. It inspired Erik and I to plan for an outdoor dinner as well, it was so much more fun than a stuffy restaurant. We also had a really fun night before the wedding. Sleeping quarters were a little cramped, but I was intoxicated enough I didn't care.

And the wedding itself was great. The ceremony was beautiful and very scenic, dinner was delicious, and of course we all had fun dancing and goofing around. Great wedding, Sarah and Sobo!
My nephew Christian is getting big!
