Our New Baby

Driving a "new" car after driving an 18 year-old honda is a lot like upgrading from a tricycle to a harley. Yes, its that great. Car shopping is stressful, that's for sure. But when you come home in a great car, knowing you made the right choice, its all worth it.

Tom saw the car and said "Wow, you really deserve to drive that, you too Erik." Hehehe, yes we do.

Spring has Sprung *knock on wood

It was an absolutely beautiful day in Moscow. Clear skies, warm sunshine, not too breezy, and about 64 degrees! I did a lot of cleaning up in the yard, as well as some spring cleaning inside. We also played some catch on campus and picked up some tasty looking steak for the grill tonight, mmmmm.

Our Spring Break

Well the trip to Portland was great. Seeing our friends and spending some time in the big city was so much fun, and we were fairly productive! We dropped our resumes off at many places, so hopefully we'll be hearing back from some of them in the next few weeks!

Portland, here we come!

Well, at least for a few days. Spring break starts this weekend and we will be leaving Saturday morning for Portland. We'll spend the weekend hanging out with friends (Ryan, Todd, Kristin) and Mon-Wed we'll pretend to be adults. Our goal is to drop off our resumes, introduce ourselves to prospective employers, maybe check out some neighborhoods, and have a little fun downtown.

I of course used this as an excuse to go shopping for some "nice shirts" and came home with three shirts, a sweater, pants, a random plate from Ross, and soap from Bath and Body Works. Ooops....how'd that happen?

There will be lots of pictures from this little trip, so check back in a few days!

Home Sweet Home?

Erik and I did some house-hunting this weekend; online of course. We fell head-over-heels for a couple places, both of which are about 20-25 minutes outside of Portland. Here is our favorite one in Hillsboro, OR

the living room
It is 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and $750/month. That is on the highend of what I was shooting for, but how can we say no to that yard and kitchen?

Unfortunately, all the places we look at now will probably be gone by the time we want to sign a lease, but its fun to look. I now have a good sized list of property managers and private people that seem to have a lot of nice places to rent.
