Various Happenings

This weekend was a slightly "eventful uneventful" couple of days. Erik and Brian spent Friday night drinking beer and cheap wine, as well as smoking cigars while I slept peacefully. Saturday we went on a little adventure when we thought we were just going out to Walmart. Lets just say we had car battery problems and my good brother Tom had to come help us.

I also dedicated some time to "reinforcing" our gate so Captain can't continue to jump over it. He is the most agile little jumping dog I have ever met. After about 15 pieces of bamboo sticks, lots of twine, and a 7 foot piece of flowerbed fencing; I think it will keep him in.

And what I'm most excited about is the snowboard I bought! It is a used snowboard that Jenny picked up for me in Postfalls. Next Saturday I'll be trying it out and hopefully I'll be able to say it was $70 well spent!

Becoming a snow bunny

There was really nothing bunny-like about me today, I was more like an awkward moose. Erik, Jenny, and I went up to Lookout and enjoyed a beautiful day on the slopes. Erik taught me how to snowboard (or at least how not to fall on my face every five feet), and Jenny skiied.

It was a great day; sunny, warm, no precipitation at all. However, the snow was a bit sticky and packed. We had lots of fun anyway.

Blue Man Group

Last night I went to see the Blue Man Group with Meeka and her boyfriend, Shane, in Spokane. Wow! It was so awesome; lights, crazy music, lots of comedy, illusions, dancing, everything was amazing.

Well, everything but the pictures I took. I only had my phone with me and the zoom was not good enough to get any closeups and the stage lights made it difficult to get a good shot. At any rate, here they are!

A Day at the Dog Park

The moscow dog park is great. There are lots of interesting characters there; humans and canines alike. While Erik and I chat with fellow pet owners, Miss Pup and Captain scamper, chase, play, and tumble around with the other dogs. It is quite the sight to see.

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite weekend activities.

Our Time In Moscow

We've had quite the ride through our college years, and now we are at the last chapter, the last few pages even. Things have gradually changed along the way (friends coming and going, moving almost every year, class schedules and jobs) but the biggest changes are around the corner.
Reflecting back on our years in Moscow, there is a lot to smile about.

Good times with friends

good times together

and of course our "hobbit house"

Moscow has been our home for five years and in another 4 months we will be moving on. Together. But for now, we'll enjoy the rest of our time here.
